Big Pit

Yesterday we visited the Big Pit Museum. I wasn't looking forward to actually going down because i don't like being underground. The last time i went underground was in the salt mines in Poland but it was made up of huge caves that you couldn't see the ceilings of they were so high. There was even a chapel with chandeliers and huge fireplaces made out of salt.
The day started off bad took me an hour to get into Swansea when it normally takes half an hour all because of traffic. I enjoyed when i was there i love history so everything interested me and i love visiting museums and castles. The journey home took longer than we thought, we took a wrong turn and ended up near Hereford which was stressful because me and Emily were just guessing how to get back. Luckily we eventually found Newport and it only took just over 2 hours to get back.

The curfew

The first 15 minutes i just wanted to quit i had no idea what to do, didnt know where to go or what the game was about. As soon as i had an idea of where to go the game became addictive. Im determined to finish at least the first person now!

So last week we went to bett with uni in London. I couldnt believe just how big the place was we all kept losing each other and the only way we found each other agin was by accident. The exhibitions were interesting and most gave out freebies which was a plus. The only downside was most of the representatives were a bit dismissive because we were students rather than representatives of schools or companies. The one piece of software that i found the most interesting was WordQ which helped people with dyslexia. The man who was showing us the software had dyslexia and his wife had designed it so it was nice to talk to someone who found the software helped them.

I really enjoyed the rest of the time in London. The thought of using the tube was scary at first because im not very good at darkness and undergroud things. Emily seemed so confident with them that she put me at ease so by the end we were like a team finding places and only got lost once, but it wasnt really lost it was taking the long way round haha. We should definitely be full time tour guides.

We visited the V&A too. At first i wasnt that enthusiastic about going to a museum seeing as we were in London and there was shopping to be done, but by the end me and Em were saying how we wanted to come back and spend a whole day looking round because the building was huuge. My favourite exhibition there was the jewellery. The tiaras and rings were absolutely amazing if only i could afford jewellery like that. The theatre costumes were amazing as well. The one that i was excited to see was Adam Ant Prince Charming costume because my mother is absolutely obbessed with him haha she was so jealous when i told her sometimes i swear she still thinks shes 16 haha.

Back to uni!

I enjoyed chirstmas although it didnt feel like I had any time off because i was working so much! I havent even had a chance to go sale shopping!Im looking forward to London next week and butlins in February with the girls, should be one to remember.

Even thought its only wednesday my week so far has been pretty bad. Sunday was really good.There is a team leader job available in work and i really want it. Only catch is to get that job i'll have to take a year out. Basically the assistant manager is pregnant and is going off on maternity in about 4 weeks. One of the team leaders is getting a promotion leaving her job open. Theyre finding it hard to replace any of the management team atm. Its only for a year and i could always come back. Money is always an issue even with my loan i kinda feel like its meant to be.
I asked my manager about it and she gave me a mini interview on the spot. The next day i was being shown banking and how to close the shop. Im being watched like mad for the next week now and i'll find out saturday whether i'll get it or not! I have to admit it i think i'd rather be there than here. I know i said i wanted to be a teacher but whats the harm in working for a year then coming back?
I suppose that was the good part of my week. It went bad when one of my friends decided to create an argument out of thin air. She was probably bored or something. I just lost it and got angry veeeery quickly i thought it was childish and just couldnt hold back. I probably shouldnt have said half the stuff i did but to be completely honest i think it needed to be said. Everyone knows though we'll probably be back speaking in a few months cos i never learn my lesson! maybe this time will be different deep down i really hope it is. Just hope the rest of my week improves!

My week so far...

The week started off good. i stayed in saturday night so i woke up hangover free on sunday :) my week got better when laura made the most amazing CD for my car. Think shes converted me to an 80's lover. Looking forward to the rest of the week. Out in swansea tonight with my two make-up gurus and a parent free week. Doesnt get much better :)
